A Logistics Specialist is responsible for overseeing various aspects of supply chain management to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods and services. This role involves coordinating transportation, managing inventory levels, optimizing warehouse operations, and monitoring distribution processes. Perform warehousing functions on specialized equipment such as Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense Equipment (CBRN-D) and Soft walled Shelters and Camouflage Netting (SWS&CN), and other equipment in support of the Marine Corps Consolidated Storage Program (CSP).

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Logistics Specialist I: $

Pay commensurate with experience.

Logistics Specialist I Responsibilities Include:

  • Performs all warehousing activities, to include, issuing receiving, storing, reconstitution, inventorying, and shipping bulk and individual gear and equipment.
  • Tracks inventory using warehouse management system.
  • Organizes inventory as outlined in the warehouse inventory procedures.
  • Assists in drafting of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), documents, Memorandums, and weekly logistics reports.
  • Assists with the annual, quarterly, and monthly inventory.
  • Performs shipping, receiving and inspections of equipment
  • Assists in the training of CBRN-D and SWS&CN equipment.
  • Loads and unloads equipment as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Logistics Specialist I Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Two years of experience in performing logistics management required.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
  • Must be able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC) investigation to obtain base access and DoD computer system access.
  • Must be detailed-oriented, demonstrate good time-management skills and manage workload with minimal oversight.
  • Understanding of inventory control systems.
  • Knowledge of CBRN-D equipment, capabilities, and maintenance.
  • Operational abilities with CBRN defense operations across the full spectrum threat environment.
  • Knowledge in reviewing/implementing processes, policies and programs related to CBRN.
  • Familiarization with JPEO-CBD Enterprise Field and Surveillance (JEFS) policies and procedures
  • Knowledge and experience with Soft walled Shelters and Camouflage Netting (SWS&CN)
  • Proficient in written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending and standing for long periods of time.
  • Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Logistics Coordinator, Supply Chain Associate, or Inventory Control Clerk.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
